Heather Halls was a remarkable woman that filled the Waterford community with love, kindness, and showed us all how to be good people. Heather started volunteering in the community when her children started preschool and even during her 10-year battle with cancer, Heather was an inspiration with her beautiful smile, never give up attitude, bravery and grace.
Heather was a true hero, involved in everything from being a reading mentor to serving on various boards and community groups. Heather was the Executive Director of the Waterford Coalition for Youth, a prevention coalition formed to reduce high-risk behaviors in the community's youth through education and awareness. The impact she made on the Waterford community and the lives of the people who lived and attended school here is immeasurable. The WCC is honoring Heather the best way we can, by starting a scholarship program to help the youth of our community. |
November 6th marked the unforgettable Bowling Fundraiser for the Heather Halls Memorial Fund, a noble cause aimed at raising funds for a scholarship to support deserving youth across all three high schools. Heather, a remarkable individual who dedicated herself to the Waterford community, is deeply missed by all who knew her. In an effort to honor her memory and perpetuate her legacy, the funds raised will establish scholarships at each high school and procure a memorial bench in Heather's honor.
The overwhelming support and generosity displayed by the community during this event has left the Waterford Community Coalition (WCC) profoundly moved. The outpouring of love and admiration for Heather has touched our hearts and reminded us of the deep connection we share with our community. |
